David Johnson passed away on Thursday, according to a Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) official, after falling from the fourth-floor flat where he lived. His wife and two children survive him; he was fifty-two years old. In 1996, he participated in two Test matches and claimed three wickets. During his domestic career, he participated in 39 first-class matches and claimed 125 wickets. Johnson bowled exceptionally well on the home circuit and was one of the fastest bowlers in India.
